GET DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Citygarden is located at 801 Market Street in downtown St. Louis. It is bound by 8th & 10th Streets, and Market and Chestnut Streets. Driving to Citygarden from the major highways is easy:
FROM THE NORTH
Take I-55 S toward St. Louis
Continue on I-64 W
Take exit 40A for Ninth St. toward Tucker Blvd
Turn slight left at S. 9th St. (signs for 9th St.)
Turn right at Market St.
FROM THE SOUTH
Take I-55 N
Take the exit toward S. Memorial Dr.
Take exit 251C on the left to merge onto S. Memorial Dr. toward Downtown
Turn left at Market St.
FROM THE EAST
Take I-55 S/I-70 W/US-40 W
Continue on I-64 W
Take exit 40A for Ninth St. toward Tucker Blvd
Turn slight left at S. 9th St. (signs for 9th St.)
Turn right at Market St.
FROM THE WEST
Take I-64 E/US-40 E
Take exit 39B for 14th St.
Turn left at S. 14th St. (signs for 14th St.)

Water Features
When the weather is warm, visitors of all ages enjoy cooling off in Citygarden’s public water features, including the Spray Plaza, Voyage Pool, Waterfall and Entry Plaza. View Map
WATER FEATURE
GUIDELINES & SAFETY
1. Pool Monitors are on duty Memorial Day to Labor Day, 10 am to 6 pm weather permitting.
2. Swim diapers are the only diapers permitted in any water features: Voyage Pool, Lower Basin Pool, Spray Plaza or the Entry Plaza.
3. No dogs permitted in pools (OK in spray plaza).
4. No jumping off of anything into the water.
5. Pools open at 10 am, but only if a Pool Monitor is present. All pools close at 6 pm.
6. No sitting, running, standing, or sliding on the granite edge of Voyage Pool.
7. No more than three (3) children are allowed on the Voyage Boat Sculpture at one time.
8. No more than twelve (12) children are allowed in the Voyage Pool at one time. Younger children have priority.
9. No one is permitted in the Upper Basin or the Waterfall.
10. No toys, splashing or rough-housing so as to make it unpleasant for others in or around the pools.
11. No lounging in pools by adults.
12. Care-givers must be present when children in their charge are in pools.
13. No running across the rocks or around the Lower Basin pool.
14. Any behavior in pools or spray plaza making it unsafe for that person or others in the area is prohibited.
15. Park monitors may warn violators of infractions one time and after that violators may be asked to leave the pool and/or the park.

Yogabuzz returns to Citygarden!
Unroll your mat with Yoga Buzz at the Citygarden every Wednesday Morning from May 29-August 28 from 7-8 A.M. This 45-minute, all-levels yoga practice is free of charge and hosted by Citygarden. After class, take some time to stroll the grounds and enjoy the art, design and flora of this downtown oasis. Please bring a mat or towel for class.

Guidelines & Safety
THE SAFETY OF CHILDREN WHO COME TO CITYGARDEN IS THE
SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THEIR CAREGIVERS.
Playing in or near water or on sculpture is inherently dangerous. Common sense and caution must be used by caregivers carrying out their responsibility. It is also expected that adults visiting Citygarden will treat it and one another with respect, thereby maintaining an atmosphere which provides enjoyment for all. Any activities that are incompatible with this atmosphere, are in violation of St. Louis City ordinances, or are disruptive to other patrons enjoying the art and landscape are prohibited.
CITYGARDEN GUIDELINES
1. No skateboarding, bike riding, scooters,
Segways, hoverboards, roller-skates, in-line skates, or other similar conveyances in the park.
2. No climbing on the waterfall or the limestone wall.
3. No barbecue grills or other picnic furniture are allowed in the park.
4. Playing in the Lower Basin and the Boat Basin is allowed for children only when Park Monitors are on duty, generally between Memorial Day and Labor Day. (The Spray Plaza is open between April 1st and November 1st, weather permitting.)
5. Small children are required to wear swim diapers.
6. Dogs must be leashed at all times and all pet waste must be picked up and removed by the owner.
7. No flotation devices or toys are allowed.
8. No adults may swim in the Lower Basin and the Boat Basin.
9. No private events are allowed, except those hosted at Kaldi’s Coffee at Citygarden.
10. No glass containers.
11. No filming or photography for promotional or commercial purposes.
12. No drones.

Our classrooms have no walls.
Citygarden features an abundance of kid-friendly works of art and welcomes groups of all ages and abilities, offering self-guided tours designed to inspire educators and parents to get kids excited and curious about art while sharpening their observational skills and critical thinking. Our tours are fun and ideal for teachers who want to engage their students in a flexible outdoor art experience. We will need to know a date, time and number of people attending.

OPERATIONS
WHAT ARE CITYGARDEN’S HOURS OF OPERATION?
Citygarden shares the same hours as all parks in the St. Louis Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry: sunrise to 10 pm daily, 365 days a year.
IS THERE A FEE TO ENTER CITYGARDEN?
No, Citygarden is free to the public.
ARE TOURS OF CITYGARDEN AVAILABLE?
Citygarden offers SELF-GUIDED TOURS for our visitors and school groups.
Citygarden welcomes groups of all ages and abilities offering self-guided tours designed to inspire educators, parents and students alike. Our self-guided tours are ideal for teachers who want to engage their students in a flexible outdoor art experience. Materials are available for download under GROUPS & GUIDED TOURS.
ARE AUDIO TOURS OF CITYGARDEN AVAILABLE?
Yes, Citygarden has an audio tour available via our Citygarden website designed to enhance the connection between visitors and the garden’s 25 sculptures.
The audio tour is available through our website or downloadable as an mp3 version, under Art.
DO I NEED TO MAKE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS IF I WANT TO BRING A GROUP TO CITYGARDEN?
Due to the small size of Citygarden, the capacity to host large groups is limited. Please limit the size of your group to less than 30, especially during summer.
If you would like to bring a group of 20 or more children to the park for water play and recreation, please call 314-241-3337 or email info@citygardenstl.org at least two weeks in advance of your visit.
Please remember the group sponsor must provide adequate adult supervision.
